High-Fructose Corn Syrup Add by, Joey Ruggiero

This commercial when i first witnessed it on T.V. the thought came to mind that, WOW maybe people are getting more health conscious and not eating foods that are have HFCS(high fructose corn syrup) in it. Because why else would their be commercials now advocating its usage. Considering that the reason most of the US population is overweight and or has diabetes due to foods with high fructose corn syrup. The commercial although seems harmless and factual is actually false... The commercial says that HFCS is OK in moderation and contains less calories then sugar is true but it is also a way of tricking you into thinking HFCS is ok and good for you almost. When it has caused many people to suffer. None the less the corn refiners are hurting because obviously parents are becoming more aware of the harmful affects of HFCS and by them having to make a commercial saying that it really isn't that bad... is frankly funny.

  1. Thanks for your post. This is incredibly deceptive advertising. I was hoping that you would link it to the propaganda techniques McClintock talked about.
If you go to the site sweetsurprise.com, you will see that the organization that talks about HFCS being a good thing is the Corn Refiners Association. Their site looks reputable but really downplays the dangers of HFCS.
If you go to the site, it says that HFCS has the same amount of calories as sugar, not fewer calories.
Watch your grammar, spelling, and puntuation as mistakes will lead to you losing your credibility as a critic.
